The Diagnostic Records area is where the necessary x-rays and photographs are taken and orthodontic study models are created. Once the x-rays are completed, anyone who has accompanied a new patient to the records exam is welcome to observe and ask questions. To ensure that patients receive the lowest possible exposure to x-ray radiation, we use state-of-the-art x-ray instrumentation and capture images on the highest speed x-ray film available resulting in minimum exposure time possible. To further minimize exposure, we also cover each patient with a lead apron.
