Meet Dr Hopkins

Dr. Heather Hopkins



Dr. Hopkins moved to Columbia after working in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Hopkins was selected to bring state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment into practice and to provide all of the esthetic options currently availabe to their patients.  This included Invisable (lingual) Braces (braces on the inside of the teeth), Invisalign (clear aligner treatment) as well as all of the traditional options that were available to patients.  While working in Los Angeles, Dr. Hopkins was able to experience unique opportunities specific to Beverly Hills and provide great quality orthodontics to her patients.

Dr. Hopkins attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky where she was a member of the soccer team and obtained degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She received her dental degree at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, and she earned her certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters in Oral Biology at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

While in Los Angeles, Dr. Hopkins worked not only in private practice but was afforded the opportunity to work with notables such as Katy Perry on her "Last Friday Night" video, was interviewed on the nationally syndicated CBS show "The Doctors," and appeared on "Extra" as well as "MTV Fantasy Factory."

She has a passion for providing the highest quality, personalized treatment for every patient. She is known for her dedication to patients and attention to detail. Her clinical training and experience include some of the most advanced orthodontic systems and techniques currently in use including lingual braces, Invisalign, Wilkodontics, soft tissue laser, and mini-implants.

Dr. Hopkins' professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and the International Association of Dental Research.

Dr. Hopkins is an avid runner and is currently participating in the Rock 'n' Roll marathon series.  She is running to support the Special Olympics and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and just finished a race in Chicago.  She is active in a number of volunteer activities focused on youth including: the Special Olympics, dental health training programs, and Clinics for Challengers Sports, which helps children with physical or mental disbabilities.

Dr. Hopkins is married to Dr. Jeffrey Hopkins who is currently in practice with the Moore Orthopedic Clinic as an orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint surgery. They live in northeast Columbia with their two beautiful retrievers, Kaiser and Sebastian.
