A condition where the upper front teeth do not show very much when a person smiles. In some patients, the front teeth do not show at all. A low lip line may be caused by a lack of vertical growth of the upper jaw, a long upper lip, an open bite or the upper front teeth being positioned too far back in the jaw structures. A low lip line can be corrected. The treatment will depend on the specific cause of the problem.
