Partial Braces - In Early Treatment braces are sometimes placed on the permanent 6-year molars and the four front teeth. This can be done on the upper teeth, the lower teeth or both the upper and the lower teeth. These appliances are used to align the teeth to their correct positions in the jaws. This allows the future eruption of the remaining permanent teeth to occur much better. These appliances are commonly called “two by fours”.
